The Craftsmanship Behind Every Sculpture

1. Sculpting the Original
Every sculpture begins as an original work carefully sculpted by an artist. Every curve, expression, texture, and proportion is refined by hand before casting ever begins.
2. Creating the Mold
A precision mold is produced from the original sculpture to preserve every artistic detail.
3. The Lost-Wax Process
Molten wax is used to create an exact replica of the original sculpture. This wax model is then coated repeatedly with ceramic materials to create a durable shell. Once heated, the wax melts away—leaving a perfect cavity ready to receive molten bronze.
4. Pouring the Bronze
Bronze is heated to extremely high temperatures and carefully poured into the ceramic shell. As the metal cools, it permanently captures every detail that existed in the original sculpture.
5. Assembly & Finishing
Large sculptures are often cast in multiple sections. Skilled artisans weld each section together before carefully chasing the seams by hand so they disappear into the original design.
6. Patina
The sculpture is heated and treated with specialized patina solutions to create its distinctive finish. Whether a warm traditional brown, elegant French Brown, rich verdigris, or another custom finish, every patina is individually hand applied.
7. Final Inspection
Before leaving the foundry, every sculpture is carefully inspected to ensure it meets the highest standards of craftsmanship, structural integrity, and artistic quality.
